Ghanaians never stop shocking me! I heard from a radio news today that some parliamentarians are saying that a 43 or 45 year old man appointed to a position of a Special Prosecutor is “too young” to handle the position.

Do they know that many of the Prime Ministers and presidents who rule the big and more complex countries are around that age or even younger? And even give assistance, loans to the older folks!

People are not serious at all. What has age got to do with competence? If a 45 year old is young who is old enough?

Geriatric populations running African countries. NO Ageism meant here but this is so upside down thinking i can’t even wrap my head around it. Seriously? What is the average age of the Ghanaian population?

Can’t they see they are out of touch with the youth? Can’t they see what’s going on around the world? Look at the other global leaders and look at you?

43 too young to run a department? Those parliamentarians can’t be serious.

No wonder! Just unbelievable in this day and age when one can complete a PhD in his/her mid 20s. Instead of focusing on competence, knowledge, experience, skills and character?

Unnecessary things!

Do they know the experience some have by the time they reach those ages? Do people think much of the inventions and innovations were made by older folks?

Irrelevant factors!
“She speaks like that”, “she’s a woman”, “s/he didn’t go to that school here”, “s/he not a Christian”, “s/he wearing her/his hair like that”. Mind boggling!
Shocking!
