The World has been through major wars (ancient wars, WWI, WWII), several atrocities, many disease outbreaks (TB, Spanish Flu, HIV/AIDS epidemics, Ebola, measles), natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis), terrorism, global economic crises (the great depression, 1973, 1980s, 2008), and many more. All come and change the way we live but we thrive, become more innovative and adaptive.
It shall pass. Before then we need to comply with proscribed rules and support authorities and health officials.
