On July 01 1867 Canada was established as a State by the British North America Act. The territories that formed Canada included Upper and lower Canada, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec. Now Canada has 10 provinces and territories.
This year’s Canada Day is a year of reflection according to the PM. Wishing all Canadians and fans of Canada my kindest wishes.
Today’s also Republic Day in Ghana, on 1st July 1960 Ghana also became in charge of its own affairs deposing the Queen of England as the head of State, the prime Minister became the president and the head of State when Ghana officially became a Republic.
At the time of Independence comprised of 4 main British colonial territories namely the
Gold Coast, Ashanti, Northern Territories and British Togoland. It has come a long way from British the Portuguese, Dutch and British exploitation.
