- Of the over 5000 deaths with the numbers climbing.
- Europe has now become the “epicenter” of COVID-19 pandemic. More cases and deaths reported each day in Europe now than it was reported at the height of the epidemic in China months ago.
- Each country is at risk and it is a “deadly mistake” for any country to think the outbreak happening elsewhere will not happen to them.
- Each country is encouraged to follow the WHO’s “8 pillar evidence based” and “comprehensive Plans. Most countries are now following this approach including a national plan, diagnostic lab testing, multifactorial approaches.
- Every country and their nationals are encouraged to adopt and implement all of the following (comprehensive approach):
-“aggresive” testing
-contact tracing”
-quarantine
-social distancing
According to the WHO, these approaches have been proven as effective in preventing further spread and in helped contained COVID-19 in China, Singapore, China and South Korea.
