- Moves from person to person via droplets (sneezing and coughing) and close contact with an infected person.
- No longer considered airborne like TB, measles, shingles etc.(as previously thought)
- Best protection according to health officials include procedural/surgical masks, eye protection, full sleeved gown and gloves. N95 mask no longer required except for those providing aerosol general medical procedures (AGMP).
- AND of course good hand hygiene, avoiding crowds, sick people and other infections control protocols.
- Stay home if you don’t need to be out there .
